Annual Planner:

Behind the scenes, staff at Meadowbank work on an annual planner of events to share with you. We all then sit down and share those ideas and ask you what you'd like to see happening at Meadowbank. Then we combine all that to produce another fabulous year of memories!

What a typical month looks like at Meadowbank:

• Weekly we partake in life skills such as shopping and daily drink making for our friends.
• Monthly we have one educational training such as fire safety or personal space awareness.
• Once a week in the summer we'll visit Nettlecombe for either planned events like raft building, bug identification workshop or just to top up the pond and prune the plants. In the winter we try to get out to Nettlecombe a couple times for bird watching or foraging. 
• Right throughout the year, once a week we'll head over to Willowbrook and help with the chickens and ducks. We also help with a spot of gardening in the summer! Our efforts are always rewarded with a cake from Willowbrook! 
• We have 1-2 bigger trips out a month, like Dunster Castle or Tropiquaria Zoo. 
• Spot Activities - We have all eventualities covered! Should the great British weather change our plans we have a back-up box full of fun, from games & arts to educational activities.
• If a seasonal holiday falls within a month we'll be participating in as much as we can, from themed art and cooking to visiting special related events.
• Every month we do a cooking session from biscuits to quiche, we've made it all! The best bit is eating it! We often will use ingredients we've grown ourselves!
• Art plays a big part at Meadowbank, we'll have a big piece running throughout the month as well as several smaller art activities.
• Every month we visit Carol and have a boogie, listen to her play the guitar and end with a good ol' karaoke session! 
• We mustn't forget the vehicle checks! Once a month we all get out and learn about the car, make sure the tyres are pumped up and the oil/water levels are correct.
• Games are always fun. It's a great way to build friendships. We're often having a round of bingo or pulling out our pool table.
• To keep us moving we'll have a monthly sport activity, we've done ping pong, sports days, cricket and football. We are also lucky enough to have many walks on our doorstep. We'll grab our cameras or binoculars and head out on an adventure!
