Meadowbank Day Service, provides a unique rural day service for adults with disabilities. We are located in the tranquil surroundings of Wiveliscombe, Somerset. Our inspiration comes from our serene rural setting, which provides the perfect environment for us to nurture and empower the minds of adults with disabilities using the power of nature.

Est in 2017, family run Meadowbank offers a tranquil setting for our users to grow and flourish embracing all that is natural. Exposure to nature comes with a wealth of health benefits, from improving confidence and self-esteem to reducing stress and anxiety. We base all our activities with the great outdoors in mind. Some just enjoy absorbing the surroundings whilst others get stuck in. 

Promoting Well-being

At Meadowbank Day Service, we are dedicated to promoting physical and mental well-being for our guests. Our therapeutic gardens in Nettlecombe and nature walks allow our services users to connect with nature and experience all the benefits of the outdoors. In addition, our creative arts services provide a creative outlet for self-expression, promoting a sense of purpose and fulfilment.  We work with our local communities in Taunton, Wellington and Wiveliscombe which develops confidence and rewards  recognition. We enter local competitions, from scarecrow comps to flower shows.  Our unique rural setting and the abundance of wildlife further contribute to the overall well-being of our guests.

Transport

At Meadowbank we offer a collection and drop off service. This is great way for everyone to catch up on our way to the setting. We start morning pick ups from 8am and the afternoon drop offs start from 3:15pm.  This is a great way to encourage social inclusion and build on lifelong friendships. Often singing and tractor spotting form part our favourite car activities. Transport is always a fun part of the day!
